Achtendertig jaar geleden probeerde de Australiër Michael Dennis Rohan de al-Aqsa moskee in Jeruzalem in de brand te steken. De christen zag het als zijn taak van God om de moskee te vernielen zodat Israël kon beginnen met de wederopbouw van de derde joodse tempel. Hiermee hoopte de Australiër de komst van Christus te bespoedigen.
